Arrival and Dismissal
-
To ensure student safety and minimize confusion, it is best practice for students to follow the same dismissal routine each day.
If a change is necessary due to special circumstances, please complete the following steps by 2:30 p.m. (1:30 p.m. on Wednesdays):
- Call the front office at 407-866-1271.
- Personal information will be verified for security.
- The office will notify the teacher of the updated dismissal instructions.
Please note: Teachers may not have the opportunity to check ParentSquare messages before dismissal. There may also be a substitute in the class who does not have access to those messages. Calling the office helps prevent miscommunication and ensures a smooth process.
We kindly ask that you select a consistent dismissal method for your child. Frequent changes create challenges for both staff and students. Administration will reach out if consistent issues occur.
-
- Dismissal during school hours is discouraged. A written note sent on the morning of early dismissal stating the reason and time is requested. Picture identification will be required before a student is released to an adult.
- The closing of each school day is a very important time for students. Assignments are reviewed, reminders are shared, and information is clarified. We will not interrupt the classroom to dismiss a child after 2:30pm (1:30pm on Wednesdays), unless a note has been sent in that morning or if it is an emergency.
